Mayor of Moshi visits the VICOBA members!
About 150 entrepreneurs were present at our exhibition at the Moshi Kristo Mfalme Community Center! They showed their products to the many visitors, the local press and to some important people of the community.
On Monday, these vendors from 7 districts marched around in Moshi to bring awareness about the exhibition and the importance of entrepreneurship.
During this 3-day event they managed to sell a lot of their goods, such as fabrics, vegetables, pottery and tea.
At the closing ceremony on Wednesday, the mayor of Moshi gave a speech about how pivotal VICOBA’s are for the Tanzanian economy and for the financial empowerment of its population.
This event was organised by KIVINET (Kilimanjaro VICOBA Network), FINCA Microfinance Bank, ELCT ND SACCOS and BAKWATA IHSAN SACCOS.
